Health Awareness Program Organized by STG College of Nursing at Nellyady
As part of World Hepatitis Day and World ORS Day, an awareness program was held on July 29 at the Nellyady Primary Health Centre by STG College of Nursing.
During the program, nursing college students raised awareness by performing a skit on the symptoms of hepatitis, its modes of transmission, and preventive measures. Following this, they gave a dance performance featuring placards conveying the importance of handwashing.
They also gave a demonstration on how to prepare ORS solution at home and its proper use, explaining the importance of ORS in preventing dehydration caused by diarrhea.
Present at the event were Sri Prashanth Chako, Chairman of the STG Group of Institutions; Principal Dr. Manu M.; the lecturers and staff of STG Nursing College; and the Medical Officer of the Primary Health Centre, Dr. Shishira M.P., along with staff.
